Another Day, Another Investigation for Dan Snyder and the Commanders

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia has launched an investigation into Dan Snyder and the Washington Commanders.  This one is criminal. The US Attorney alleges financial improprieties against the team.  This investigation was started by a letter sent by The House Oversight Committee to the Federal Trade Commission alleging deceptive business practices.

Commanders outside Counsel released the following statement to ESPN.  “It is not surprising that ESPN is publishing more falsehoods based solely on anonymous sources — given today’s announcement.  We are confident that, after these agencies have had a chance to review the documents and complete their work, they will come to the same conclusion as the team’s internal review — that these allegations are simply untrue.”

According to ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio, "Currently, the Commanders and Snyder are being investigated by the league, the Oversight Committee, multiple state attorneys general, and now the federal prosecutor in Eastern Virginia."

How many investigations does it take before you throw in the towel?  Is this the reason Dan Snyder hired a consultant to explore a sale?  Byron Allen, it's time to come on over and take off your shoes.
